I like to read.
Especially about strength, fitness, and all things that support them.
Nutrition hasn’t always been a priority in my ‘library’…but the more I read and study, nutrition is vitally important in any fitness endeavor…as well as leading a healthy, long life.
So I read some more.
Recently I came across the Dark Side of Fat Loss. Perhaps ‘unconventional’ would be a way to describe the contents of this work, at least to our “highly developed” western civilization. But before I finished chapter 3, I was hooked.
I love me some heavy weight training, and crazy circuit interval training from time to time, but without proper nutrition I’m just spinning my wheels.
“You can’t out-train a bad diet.”
You are what you eat. Cliche, yes, but very much rooted in truth.
I can’t encourage you strongly enough to educate yourself about your health, and not some info a government agency puts out. They’re not looking out for your well being. #truth
Check out the DSFL – and see why I’m crossing over. Care to join me?
P.S. If your goal is fat loss, you can’t afford to miss out on the chapter discussing hormones in your body. You can’t out smart physiology!
P.P.S. This book isn’t just for those seeking fat loss. Your diet will directly support (or inhibit) ANY health-related goal. Check it out.
