Don’t underestimate…

…yourself or the positive energy you possess.

Positivity choice

If you’re anything like me (even as I write that, it’s kind of a scary thought lol…) you often take a look around and wonder ‘what on earth is going on?’

News, social media, TV, sports…it’s a whirlwind that will pick you up and take you on a wild ride.

But where is that taking you? Are you even in control anymore?

When we get real with ourselves, we’re more often than not living to our fullest potential, or even moving in the direction of our dreams and desires.

Life has become a non-stop roller coaster which seems impossible to get off of at times.

It doesn’t have to be.

I believe we all have much more inside us that the world needs to experience, and that we’d like to experience as well. Let’s jump off that roller coaster and get on with living the good life*!

*Please understand, your “good life” will be different than mine, and the next person’s. Certain principles will apply to all of us, but the journey and destinations will be vast and varied.

Atop the previously mentioned digital distractions – that are ever present at the tap of a fingertip – is a frantic schedule of school, work, kids, activities, shopping, preparing, eating, trying to have a social life and maybe, just maybe, 7 hours of sleep per night.

It’s easy to get caught up in being busy and falling into the monotony of the mediocre, but if we can find a focus – OUR focus (again, different for each of us) – we can break the cycle and make strides in improving our lives and the lives of those around us.

The Power of Positivity

pos·i·tiv·i·ty
ˌpäzəˈtivədē/
noun
1. the practice of being or tendency to be positive or optimistic in attitude.
“pupils draw power from the positivity of their teachers”

Following is a passage by Ralph Marston, who publishes a daily motivation at www.greatday.com

If you need a little jump start – and we all do at times – I’d recommend including the one- or two-minute reading as part of your daily routine.

“Don’t get discouraged because you see the world heading in a negative direction. Get motivated to improve that direction.

Stop feeling hopeless because of what everyone else is doing. Realize the opportunity you have to be a positive example.

Refuse to curse the darkness. Shine your light and push away the darkness everywhere you can.

There are many good things you can do, so get busy. Being worried and being discouraged are not among those good things, so let them go.

Life is certainly not perfect and will never be, but that need not stop you from creating excellence. Today is full of great possibilities, and your best option is to bring the positive possibilities to life.

No matter who or what is going in the wrong direction, choose to push forward in the right direction. Go where you want life to go, for the best way to lead is by positive example.”

My question for you today is where do you want your life to go?

Who will be positively influenced because of the way you choose to live?

When you decide to be positive, things (life) will become positively better for you.

Have a strong day.
