5/3/1: The Simplest and Most Effective Training System to Increase Raw Strength

  • If you simply want to add weight to your big lifts (squat, bench, deadlift, press) and cut through the clutter of strength training information out there, you can’t go wrong with this foundational text. Everything Jim puts out is pretty straight forward and has the goal of improving your performance. Don’t expect a miraculous transformation: it’ll take hard, consistent work. But this program works when you’re committed.

Nutrition & Supplements

Athletic Greens

  • Easy to mix and good tasting. Pretty simple. “Nutrient deficiencies in the food we eat equates to nutrient deficiencies in our bodies. The perfect diet isn’t possible, but regardless of where your deficiencies lie, the 75 superfood ingredients in Athletic Greens are likely to have you covered. Health is more than a long term investment, it’s lifelong. So it’s good to know that with each high concentration hit of whole food nutrients and vitamins, you will be one step closer to achieving and maintaining your optimum level of health and vitality.”

Nutrilite Vitamins & Supplements

  • We don’t get into promoting many supplements, as we fully believe Real Food is where our health begins. No one is perfect, however, and no diet is always complete. So we do supplement with basic multivitamins and omega 3 fish oil. Personally, I use the Men’s Pack from Nutrilite because of it’s simplicity and the quality of product is second to none. We also use the Children’s Multi and Probiotic for our young one, and he rarely misses a day of school and sports.
